Memorial Day weekend is only days away, and there’s more to this holiday than one-day sales and beach passes. Regardless of whatever your personal feelings are about the war or the country’s military policies, anyone who dedicates themselves to keeping the country safe deserves recognition.
Fighting is an ugly business that can result in serous injuries. Even those lucky enough to escape physically unscathed might have scars that can’t be seen. Movies glorify the bravery and toughness involved in war, but when soldiers return, there are physical and mental repercussions.
